Dr. Mike’s is an innovative pet product company created and owned by licensed veterinarian Dr. Michael Thomann. Dr. Mike’s mission is to provide pet owners with peace of mind and convenience with practical yet innovative products.
As a pet owner, Dr. Mike empathized with the challenges and concerns shared by fellow pet owners. While on walks, Dr. Mike experienced issues juggling a waste bag, leash and safety light while managing his dog. He was compelled to solve this problem and worked to invent a single device to replace all others. The Doggie Doo-All was designed from the ground up and encompasses the conveniences of having an ALL-IN-ONE device that provides a safe and enjoyable walk.
The Ask
Craft a brand identity, website design and marketing material tailored to resonate with busy pet owners seeking ways to simplify their lives, ensure safety and enhance moments with their beloved furry friends.
A sub-brand logo was also required for the newly invented Doggie Doo All flashlight. This logo needed to capture the joyful connection between pet owners and their furry companions while embodying the practicality and ease of the product.
The Approach
The primary logo showcases a contemporary emblem that cleverly merges a paw and shield, signifying the brand’s dedication to providing both convenience and safety to pet owners. The stylized initial “M” with dog ears pays homage to the brand’s founder and his connection to pets. The wordmark also incorporates the stylized initial “M,” ensuring cohesion between both marks for a unified brand identity. The color palette was chosen to further showcase the brands goal by instilling feelings of safety and dependability through its bold use of bright red and yellow hues.
The wordmark logo for the Doggie Doo All sub-brand features a playful sans-serif font that cleverly integrates paw print and flashlight icons, connecting directly to the product’s functionality and fun nature.
